If you’re goal is to lose weight in the new year or build a strong set of abs, then discovering the right combination of diet and exercise is important to your success. There are a number of ways to reduce fat and show off your midsection. In this article I’ll reveal the specific techniques that have worked for me and can work for you too. Show off your abdominal muscles by applying simple yet highly effective techniques.

Getting your body healthy can be difficult for a number of people. Imagining yourself in a gym with lots of people or managing a hectic schedule that doesn’t allow for time to do your exercise can seem a bit overwhelming. The good news is that having strong abdominal muscles doesn’t have to take a long time. Just ten to fifteen minutes per day of abdominal exercises can go a long way.

Unlike other muscle groups like your back or hamstrings, ab muscles can be stressed on a daily basis. This is good news because it means that if we apply the correct exercises regularly we’ll see results. When you work your abs daily you don’t have to place a large amount of stress on the muscles, just use them. The key is to use a full range of motion. I’ll show you the exercises you can do easily to accomplish this goal.

Abdominal crunches are still a great way to improve your abdominal muscles. Crunches work the upper abs and work deep into your muscles. Some individuals believe that abdominal crunches are no longer effective but they work well if done properly. Crunches are best done lying on a flat surface. Start the exercise by clasping your hands gently behind your neck. Lift your feet off the floor and make sure your thighs are at a ninety degree angle to the floor. Look up and raise your torso up towards the ceiling. Try to complete ten repetitions and work up to three sets.

One of my favorite exercises is the called the hanging leg raise. It’s easy to build ab muscles when you are using a full range of motion. This exercise is simple to learn and uses your core abdominal muscles. Begin by hanging from a bar or door frame with adequate clearance so your feet are off the ground. Very slowly raise your knees to your chest and pause for one second. Then slowly lower your legs to the starting position. It may take some time for you to do ten repetitions. Once you accomplish that goal, slowly build up to three sets of ten.

Once you have mastered exercises like crunches and hanging raises to build your abdominal muscles, the next step is to focus on reducing overall body fat. The best way to do this is to build muscle and do aerobic exercise. Aerobic exercise comes in a variety of forms such as running, jogging, biking, etc. Regardless of which method you choose, running or biking approximately three days a week should do the trick. Focus on aerobic exercises to reduce fat around your stomach and your body as a whole.

Getting the abdominal muscles you have always wanted is simple. Start with the right exercises like crunches and hanging leg raises. Add aerobic exercise to your fitness routine and you’ll see your body fat start to melt away. Although we didn’t discuss diet in great detail, adhering to a diet that is rich in fruits and vegetables as well as low in saturated fat will go a long way in helping you achieve the six pack you’ve always wanted.

The P90X System – Build Muscle And Get Fit Fast?

Filed Under (Build Muscle) by Aaron Piertzen on 30-08-2010

Tagged Under : , , , , , , , , , , , ,

A weight loss system that claims to make your body go from “regular to ripped in just 90 days,” the P90X was created by Beach Body. There are quite a few parts to the system which some find makes it different in the weight loss product arena. It has a 3 phase nutrition plan, a calendar to track your improvement, DVDs with 12 workout routines, supplement choices, a fitness guide, and online support. Tony Horton is the “personal trainer” for the system.

The exercise programs that are integrated into the P90X are named after different muscle groups. They are the Chest and Back, Shoulders and Arms, Yoga X, Cardio X, Plyometrics, Legs and Back, Kenpo X, Shoulders and Triceps, Chest, Back and Biceps, Core Synergistics, Ab Ripper X, and X Stretch. Each program affects a different region of your body and works a different muscle group. You will also need resistance bands or dumbbells and a pull-up bar or a place to do pull-ups in addition to the DVDs. It is only meant to be carried out for an hour each day. This may be less overwhelming as some programs when it comes to length.

Not just an exercise program, the P90X system preaches an entire lifestyle change. In order to get the most out of the program the program instructs you to pay strict attention to your diet. The P90X 3-Phase Nutrition Plan is designed to help you lose fat while keeping a high level of energy at the same time.

Sometimes, exercise programs that have strict routines can actually be counterproductive. The trick to excelling in this program is to use the various exercises which help keep the different muscle groups doing as many different things as possible. The theory is that by doing this, there is no plateau effect so the muscles do not get used to the different routines and will thus be able to develop.

The intense and varied workouts aim to do everything from developing your athletic performance to boosting your physique and soothing your mind. Stress is put on building muscles and toning the ones that you already possess. Cardio routines aid in burning calories even as the new muscles that you build help burn calories quicker, too.

Even though it only takes an hour, it must be said that the program is very demanding. Although it is intended to help you lose weight, and the majority of reviewers concur that it certainly helped in this department, it may not be the best option for those that have injuries or are extremely overweight since it is so challenging.

It does come with a 100% 90-day satisfaction guarantee so if you’re not happy with it you can return it. The comprehensive workout plan, money-back guarantee and diet guide are what no doubt make the P90X a popular complete workout system.

Would you like to check out a more in depth P90X review to see how it can help you tone your body and get fit fast? Go visit our P90 review to see if this exercise system is right for you.

Perfect Abs

Studio: Uni Dist Corp (music) Release Date: 11/01/2005

User Ratings and Reviews

3 Stars same clips as her “Ultimate Body” dvd
I bought this because I have her workout dvd, “Ultimate Body” and LOVE it. However, this dvd had the exact same clips, not just the same moves, the same clips (just less of them). I highly recommend Meghan White’s “Ultimate Body” dvd instead for these moves, plus arm, leg, and cardio exercise routines.

4 Stars Great Ab workout!
I don’t usually leave reviews for products – but this DVD is pretty good! I’ve been doing it for a month and my abs are def. looking better! The instructor (who is fairly annoying) does beginner/challenging – and the challenging is DEF. the route to go! Overall, it’s good and focuses soley on abs – and the workouts are all only 8 or 9 minutes! Good DVD!

5 Stars Perfect Abs Hits the Spot!
Work outs are broken up into 8-9 minute sections which is great if you want to get in some ab work but are short on time. I like this on days I don’t do a cardio workout. I also like to use this DVD in addition to weight training. The workouts really do “hit the spot”, you can definitely feel your muscles responding. I highly recommend!

5 Stars Excellant Ab Workouts
This DVD has 8 short and effective ab routines with a nice variety of workouts. Some traditional and then additions like scissor kicks and other means to get all of your abs.

I have definately noticed an improvement using this a few times a week, and they are easy to fit in. 6-8 minutes or so. Three easier routines which I started using and are good. Three more that are tougher then two other routines using weights and balls.

Good DVD to throw into the exercise mix when you want something short that gets the job done.

3 Stars not as tough as it could be
This workout doesn’t quite push you as hard as it could. It shows that anyone can make a workout video, but few people have the talent to help motivate you. The trainer counts nicely …. but there is no “interaction” with the audience. If I had my choice, I would take an ab workout from Tamilee Webb any day.

Slendertone Replacement Gel Pads for Flex Abdominal and Gymbody Belts 3 Sets 9 Pads

Slendertone Replacement Gel Pads for Flex Abdominal and Gymbody Belts 3 Sets 9 Pads

Compatible with Slendertone’s Flex Abdominal, Gymbody, and System Abs toning belts, this set of replacement gel pads will help you get the most of your Slendertone product. The length of time gel pads last depends on a number of factors, including your skin type, frequency of use, and how the pads are stored (Slendertone recommends that you replace your pads after 20 to 30 sessions). Fortunately, these replacement pads are a breeze to use, with a latex-free, no-mess design that helps conduct electrical pulses to targeted nerves and muscles. All Slendertone replacement pads and accessories are manufactured to medical-grade and FDA-approved standards and are suitable for both men and women. The set comes in three groups of three pads each, for a total of nine pads.

User Ratings and Reviews

3 Stars Replacement Pad Pricing & Where To Buy Them
I have not started using my belt yet but instead was just looking at purchasing replacements ahead of time. I noticed that on Amazon the 9 pad refill is $10 cheaper then the Slendertone website but you still have to ad shipping on the Amazon order because it’s 5 cents away from qualifying for the free shipping. If you order 18 pads then you certainly qualify for free shipping with a total of $49.90. But if you order 18 pads from Slendertone the price is only 9 cents more $49.99 with free shipping as well.

Speaking for myself, I would rather by the product from the original creator instead of Amazon if the price is only 9 cents difference for 18 pads.

Can’t wait to start using this to see how it works and will be back for a product review in a few weeks.

5 Stars Better deal that any other place and for original replacements, not a generic!
I looked high and low for this product in a conventional store. When I found them, they were $17.95 each! Image how pleased I was to receive three sets for $24.99! Delivered promptly, I couldn’t ask for anything else!

1 Star Returned
The slendertone did not work right out of the box so I had to return these too.

3 Stars Good for the Price
I bought these pads because they were a good deal and I didn’t want to order pads again as quickly. However, these pads seem to not stick as well to the belt as my old pads and my old pads provided a more comfortable buffer from the shock but overall the pads are manageable as long as you are careful when removing your belt and start at a lower intensity level.

5 Stars Slendertone Replacement Gel Pads
I have had my Slendertone Abdominal Belt for approximately five years. This is the first time I replaced the gel pads. The pads hold up great and are reasonably priced.
