I’m going to give you a set of simple, step by step six pack exercises tailored to you, as I doubt anyone has ever given you one before. If you want an amazing six pack, you must first shape up your mental game. Be clear that that is your ultimate goal. Now, you must take an unbiased look at the body you carry around. Are you too fat to see your abs, which I will henceforth refer to as category A, or do you simply lack the abdominal muscles (now category B)? This shouldn’t be hard, but you must be clear which you are. If you are in A, remove any notions about building muscle and losing weight at the same time, until you do that I can’t work with you. It is a myth in most cases, and if you were so genetically gifted in the first place you wouldn’t be coming to me for advice. I will address the six pack exercises for each group separately after the section on mindset, take what applies to you and ignore the rest.

Mindset for both categories: In this day and age, “I want” has become synonymous with, “Yeah, I’d take it if someone gave it to me, but to hell with doing any work to get it myself.” Prefacing anything with “I want” is like putting it on a wish list, and sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but Santa isn’t stuffing a six pack in your stocking this year. Replace “I want a six pack” with, “I must have a six pack.” Flimsy desires manifest flimsy actions, or sometimes none at all. Make a list of the driving reasons you want a six pack or collect some inspirational photos, and view them any time you feel like skipping your six pack exercises.

Category A: Your primary goal is weight loss. Trash the sodas and the sugared drinks and prepare to guzzle down gallons upon gallons of water in the coming weeks/months. If you’re maintaining your weight at your current diet, you can lose weight if you simply break the same number of calories into more meals. Optimally, you want to eat about every three hours. Focus on protein and vegetable intake as a higher percentage of their calories are burned just in digestion. That will drop your weight fast as many vegetables are negative calorie foods. If you want to lose weight even faster, mix in a fair amount of healthy fats (about 30% of your overall diet in calories).

Your six pack exercises consist largely of anything that makes you sweat. Get in your cardio in whatever way you find most enjoyable, be it running, swimming, wii boxing, I don’t really care as long as you’re sweating for at least twenty minutes. Do this every other day. On non-cardio days you’re going to be doing High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT). If you don’t know what HIIT is, it’s preformed by doing intermittent all-out sprints, lasting for about a minute (or until just before your heart explodes), followed by a minute to two of walking. You’re aiming for about ten sets of sprints. This seriously blowtorches fat, but the nervous system can’t handle doing it every day. Mix in six pack exercises for your abs every other day to avoid losing muscle as you lose fat. The HIIT also creates a very anabolic environment in your body, so if you want to do more complete workouts, you have a chance to hit the Holy Grail (losing fat and gaining muscle) on a smaller level.

Category B: Your primary goal is muscle gain. Congratulations, you have it easier in a way, because although you can’t spot reduce, you can spot gain. Most people in this category have a very stable weight, meaning you have a solid reference of your maintenance caloric intake. You need to bump up your meal frequency to once every few hours. Get your fair share of protein and fat at each one of these to avoid having a catabolic environment in your body. Over the day you want to take in an about 750 calories more than you used to (some sources will tell you 500, but your metabolism goes up with meal frequency and an increased protein intake). Also, if at all possible, focus your starchy carb intake around the time you do your six pack exercises. Aside from that, you have a bit more freedom in what you eat as most of the things that are bad for you also increase growth hormone or testosterone.

Your six pack exercises include what most people consider to be six pack exercises (my definition encompasses every action you take towards that end). This is your almost-traditional ab workout. You don’t want to be doing hundreds of worthless crunches, as endurance doesn’t really build muscle; it just shifts the composition to slow-twitch fibers. To build muscle, you need low repetitions and high resistance. Grab a weight and put it behind your head or on your chest during your crunches until you’re down to about twenty reps (if you go with very low reps, be sure to increase the number of sets) for about three sets.

For All: Don’t give up, remember the old saying, every time you don’t do your six pack exercises God kills a kitten…or something like that. The path is never easy, but it’s always simple; stay on it and results are sure to follow.

Totally sucked since it never worked and didn’t have batteries like the box said. Of course it was the last one they had. At least the seller gave me a quick refund but it scares me to buy another one since I do not see too many good reviews about it.

I bought this toning system belt based on the review. After 3 weeks of using about 5 times per week at 85- 90 intensity for 60 – 80 minutes each time, I have seen little impact on my stomach size. I will continue to try it for another month.

1 Star very simple compering to what i had before
i had one like that in europe and i was fabulous and thats why i decided to buy this one. unfortunately i am very disapointed . my old one had 6 different tipes of exercises plus timing and volume and this one had only volume and timing but only one program and its not the one i used to do most with my old one. it also bothers me on higher volume in the middle . dont recomend it…for little more you can find a better one on european websites

Slendertone flex go doesn’t work as expected.No significant results even after using it for 3 weeks.

Sometimes center pad doesn’t function or side pads doesn’t function.

Instead of wasting money on such products it is better to do daily exercise.

5 Stars fanTASTtic gismo!
First of all, let me just say that though the pads are expensive, spraying them with a little bit of water extends the use (mine are like new after 3 months of use). Also, I have been using rechargeable AAA batteries and they only need to be replaced every month.

In the beginning, it took me about a week to build up to the 99 intensity, and towards the lower end I could feel the pulse but wasn’t sure how much it was actually doing. But as soon as I got to 80 and higher, my muscles were sore the next day – the sign of a good workout! Now I use it an hour a day when I go out to walk my dog in the park and it really does work! My core is significantly stronger and more defined. I also don’t feel the need to do ab exercises anymore.

But don’t take this the wrong way – don’t stop doing cardio! If you have a round belly, don’t expect this to be a miracle cure. With the combination of healthy eating and cardio, you WILL certainly be satisfied. (I have lost 4″ off my waist in three months …)

Item never worked and when I atempted to return item I could not find it in my purchase history on Amazon. It is as if the purchase never occured. I feel that my money was taken and a full refund is in order. I have my receipt, bank statement but Amazon.com will not let me process a refund.

4 Stars Not that Bad
I wasn’t sure About this product the first time I saw it. I was quite skeptical but a month later I saw it again and had the money So I said why not. Well I can tell you this works the hell out of your abs, the intensity level is ridiculous. I went max one day but couldn’t do it the next because it was to much, I had to drop it down by 10. I work out and trying to lose my gut, though I cant see my 6pack yet My abs feel super tight to a point where I could feel the muscle. I’m not an overweight guy So I can still see the lining coming along and feel this product is helping especially while working at my desk, I wear it for 40 mins mid afternoon then When I get out of work I hit the gym. I had it for less than 2 weeks and I do notice a difference. Battery life does suck, after 2 or maybe 3 uses with Duracell batteries, you’ll need new ones. I recommend getting rechargeable ones, it will save you money in the long run. As far for the sticky Pads I’m still using my first issued ones, but after 17 or so uses you can still try to use them if they barley stick or pay 7.00 to get new ones. Just pray that they don’t slip out of place or your in for a painful shock.

Slendertone Gymbody Abs Belt – Mens

I ordered the Slendertone – expecting to be disappointed, but hoping for the best. I am relatively fit (work out 3-4 times a week), but am having trouble losing in belly/hips area. I have used the slendertone belt for only 10 days straight – and can’t believe how I’m seeing definition already – particularly in my upper abs. I was planning on giving it 14 days before judging, but I could see a difference after 5 days. And last time I did weight training, I was actually stronger. I’m now thinking of getting th slendertone shorts. First few days were uncomfortable, but now the electronic shocks don’t bother me – Totally think this is worth it, and can’t wait to see results after a month! Just in time for beach season!!

I do not know if this slendertone is safe. I have never had any kiddney trouble until I had used this slendertone. Three days after using I had got so sick and was in a lot of pain. Will not recommend using.

4 Stars Too soon to tell
I have only had this product for five days, and I am excited, apprehensive, and intrigued. So far, it performs as it promises, but it takes 8 weeks to progress through the levels of intensity. I am currently on 85 in Level One (85% of 14 micro coulombs) and plan to get to 90 in Level Six (90% of 21 micro coulombs). I have found that progressing from 35 on my first day to 85 on day five did not cause the pain that I had feared. Actually, the higher intensity feels more like a numbing vibration than those zappy stings you feel at lower levels.

So far, ten minutes of crunches would produce a more effective and less unpleasant ab workout, but I have a long way to go.

Its kind of hard to give a review since I am still waiting on the product!!! When I received it, it did not work. I emailed the address that Amazon said to and the response was instant.They told me to mail it back and they would send a new one. HMMM I’m pretty patient except I sent it OVER a month ago and the numerous emails I have sent have been unanswered by anyone. Im out the money(this product is not cheap),the product and any faith in Amazon for letting a supplier behave like this. I dont even have a phone number to get ahold of anyone. This sucks, apparently I’m the dumb one.

Received product and the charger did not work. They sent me another charger which did not work. I returned the whole unit which never worked and I’m having trouble getting my credit card credited back. This has been going on since Sept 21st and I have not received a credit. I have called 4 times and they say their testing it and will let me know something about my payment. This is Oct 26th and I was suppose to hear back from them but have not. I am going to turn it over to my credit card dispute dept. I was really excited to try it. But the aggregation is too much.

5 Stars Solution for burning sensation – Great Product
This ab toning system works by electrical stimulation of your muscles. Electricity always takes the path of least resistance (that’s what a short circuit is all about). So, you must be careful to ensure the gel coatings of the pads are consistent without any missing pieces and that the skin under the pads do not have any unhealed cuts, scratches or abrasions.

I found that occasionally I would experience a burning sensation around the edge of one of the pads. The edge of the pads have no gel on them, so if they come into direct contact with your skin they provide a path of lowered resistance for the electrical current. I solved this issue by either working some of the gel coating over the edge of the pad and/or removing and repositioning the belt.

On one occasion I repeatedly experienced a burning sensation under one of the pads no matter what I did. I even replaced the pad with a new one with no effect. So (being the engineer that I am) I inverted the belt so that it was upside down. The left pad was on the right and the right pad on the left. I still experienced the same burning sensation on my right side. So, my burning sensation occurred regardless of whether the left or right pad of the belt was in contact with the skin on the right-side of my abdomen. I removed the belt and inspected that area of my abdomen in a mirror. To my surprise I found a tiny scratch right where I was feeling the burning sensation. An unhealed scratch means a direct path for the electrical current without having to traverse your layers of skin. So, I put some neosporin antibiotic ointment on the scratch and let it heal for two days. When I put the ab toner belt back on two days later the burning sensation was gone.

Just a few lessons learned. Other than the above comments, I have found that the ab toner belt works as advertised and I am extremely pleased with the results I have obtained from using it.Slendertone Men’s System Abs Toning Belt

I’ve been using Slendertone Men’s System Ab Toning Belt for a month and a half. Two things A) wish I’d purchased it from Amazon.com instead of their own website where it is more expensive B) don’t know how I ended up with the men’s version, since I’m a fairly slim woman. That aside, I use it twice a day and have lost a little over an inch from my waist. I now wear size 6 jeans instead of 8! I don’t use it passively. As the belt pulses, I contract the muscles it stimulates. I’ve found my abdominal muscles much strengthened, my posture improved. The belt is EASY to use. In the time I’ve had it, I have yet to replace the gel pads, though I ordered extra sets from Amazon so I’ll be ready. I’d recommend this product to anyone!

I bought the slendertone belt to hopefully gain a six pack. I am 5′11″ and 160 pounds, so i am by no means fat. I am actually in pretty good shape and was looking for an extra kick to hopefully tone my stomache more. After one week of using the slendertone ab system on level 99 everytime the gel pads were burnt out and it actually hurt to turn it on. This resulted in red marks and I did not want to use it anymore. Slendertone would have told me to replace the gel pads but I was under the impression that they last more than one week. I thought it was a good product if you have the money to keep replacing gel pads, but if you dont I would stay away from theis product. I do believe it tones your abs but its not going to help you lose fat!!! High intensity training along with resistance training is the only thing that will do this!

Still trying the product! I know it makes your muscles contract and release… As far as the result goes, well I still have to try it everyday (which I have not!) and for at least a month before I can tell you of the result! Hope it works.
